Italian ARC proposal preparation event 2025 –

April 4th 2025

In preparation for the ALMA “Cycle 12” proposal deadline on 24th April 2025, the Call for which will be released on 20th March, the Italian node of the European ALMA Regional Centre (IT ARC node) organizes a community meeting to inform all potential users of the new capabilities and the most important changes concerning the proposal preparation and the available tools available.

10.00 -10.40 – Insight into ALMA Cycle 12 capabilities

10.40 -11.00 – Introduction to joint proposals

11:00 -11.15 – break

11.15 -11.45 – Joint proposals with VLA (in collaboration with Francesco Ubertosi – University of Bologna)

11:45 -12.15 – ALMA in VLBI mode

12:15 -14.00 – lunch break

14.00 -15.00 – Tutorial on CARTA

15.00 -16.00 – Tutorial on the OT

This activity is in addition to the usual “face-to-face” support that anybody can request from the Italian ARC node via e-mail to help-desk@alma.inaf.it, or through the ALMA help-desk.

The event could be attended in presence at INAF-IRA (Bologna) 4th floor seminar room. A maximum number of 40 persons could be accepted in the seminar room.
